Visiting Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu was like stepping back in time. Located near Asakusa's Nakamise shopping street, after passing through the charming streetscape, we were welcomed by the serene atmosphere of traditional Japanese architecture. Stepping into the guest room, the soothing feel of tatami mats and the calming hues of the Japanese-style room promised a relaxing time. The room was equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, TV, and a refrigerator, seamlessly blending modern convenience with traditional ambiance. The private bathroom was also impeccably clean, and amenities like a hairdryer and yukata were thoughtfully provided. In the morning, waking up bathed in soft light streaming through the window was a delightful experience. The hustle and bustle of Nakamise street transformed into a peaceful background noise, creating a pleasant ambiance. Before heading out for a stroll, we enjoyed a traditional Japanese breakfast offered at the ryokan, made with fresh ingredients to fuel our day. The ryokan's excellent accessibility allowed easy exploration of Asakusa's major attractions such as Senso-ji Temple and Hanayashiki, offering opportunities to immerse ourselves in Japanese culture and fully appreciate the charm of Tokyo throughout our stay. Staying at Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu was a precious experience where we felt genuine hospitality and found true relaxation. It's the kind of place that makes you want to visit again and again.
